Who is the lady presenting with Ben Brown this afternoon?

Never seen her before.


Lucy Hockings (usually a World presenter). Presenting with Ben Brown on this BBC News Special coverage which is also simulcast on World. Makes sense really, bringing together a News Channel presenter (who has lots of experience in extensive foreign affairs reporting) and a World presenter on this developing global story

Me neither. Bank holiday cover from a regional news programme maybe? Unfortunate they haven't been able to replace her, although she's doing an adequate job.

Shes a very irregular presenter on World if it wasn't for seeing a video of her and Owen Thomas on his showreel a while back I wouldn't know who she was tho

Yeah, some other guy indeed. Never ever seen him before. Is this his first time reading the news? I don't know why they use unknowns on such big events. As for Lucy Hockings, she is hardly an irregular presenter on BBC World. She has been anchoring about 4 times a week since 2003!

Indeed - she used to do The World Today fairly often, so was seen on the News Channel at 5am.
