Might not be particularly interesting to most British viewers, but according to Katty Kay's twitter Ted Koppel will be hosting tonight's World News America. I know he's a semi-regular contributor but as far as I know he hasn't presented the programme before. He was previously an anchor of ABC News' Nightline programme and is a well known journalist in the states. Seems he's presenting a special edition of the programme about the crisis/action in Libya (mediaite.com).
Not really surprising with major non studio content this morning (Libya and Budget preamble) that Simon M. is single handling the studio segments today. Libya being handled by Jon S. in Italy and the Budget by Laura K. on College Green - Westminster.
Simon continued with the single handed presentation until 1130 and the Budget special, now at 3.30pm Louise M. also seems to be doing the London end of presentation alone too, I presume the first two headed pres. will be from 6.30pm.
