Peter Dobbie and Juliet Dunlop at midnight.

Yep as I said and in N8, is there any reason they couldn't have remained in N6 overnight?

BBC World's team take over from 12am - probably easier to start off in N8 instead of moving from N6 to N8 at 12:30am like usual (that can't happen anyway as the scheduled program will be cancelled) - also, N6 needs to cool down overnight which is why it is not usually used on overnights.

How come N8 doesn't get a chance to 'cool down' on the overnights if N6 can, as presumbly it's used as long as N6, in fact longer, as presumbly it does it's own breakfast show while TC7 'subs' for N6 for the first bit of 'Breakfast on weekdays?

(Surely this should be an occasion when N9 is used if only to make sure it's still working if the **** hits the fan technically at other times?)

Not so many Barcos is there, just a small video wall whereas N6 is a complete Barco wrap-around.

Yep - Julia Somerville from the CSO studio. Looks surprisingly clear - I thought that CSO was appalingly bad!
I believe last night's newsflashes came from N9's CSO screen, rather than the Clip Studio used for daytime updates.

As well as giving the studio kit a bit of a rest, remember that N8's gallery was built for a 24 hour news channel - while N6's was originally built for a handful of programmes a day. (Plus both need a chance for scheduled maintenance from time to time - or even simple things like letting the cleaners hoover the gallery. Presumably.)

Simon Jack and Naga Munchetty on Breakfast this morning - though Naga appears to have left at 0830 to prepare for the bulletins on Andrew Marr. Don't they normally get a different presenter in for those summaries?

Nicholas Owen and Martine Dennis on a simulcast at 0900. (Though Nick appears to be on autopilot, and started with "BBC News at 9 O'clock")

The Andrew Marr bulletins have been presented by the female presenter from Breakfast for a long time now. It has been the case since Moira left. Will be interesting to see what happens when Breakfast moves to Salford. Will Weekend Breakfast move?

On an unrelated note, Carrie Gracie will apparently be off until the end of April (having already been missing for the past few weeks) according to Simon McCoy on Twitter.

^^ Shame about Carrie, she is an excellent presenter and her and Simon are great, will have to put up with morning news without her until end of April then!

Also the director on Twitter said Sophie was in yesterday because he had no presenter for the extra news flashes. Then he contacted Sophie who rushed in to the rescue - presumbly Julia was no able to come in early and he also said they had trouble finding a studio, seemed like a mad day!

Karin Giannone now replaced Martine Dennis on the simulcast, with Nicholas Owen.

Don't know what will happen in Marr, but I believe Breakfast will come from Salford 7days a week, and from the same set every day (including weekends)

When The Andrew Marr show starts at 0900 I suppose they could potentially take the news down the line from Salford. Using a CSO background as they do now if necessary.

When The Andrew Marr show is earlier I imagine the 0900 presenter on the BBC News Channel could present the bulletin as the Breakfast presenter does.

In both cases though they might have to dump the headline recap at 10 - though I'm not sure that is a problem in itself.

I suppose in theory they could set up a good contribution point (I.e. like BBC News 24 had setup in the regional news studios in the beginning but using CSO. The breakfast presenter could then read the recap bulletin without any additional staffing needed. This could also work where The Andrew Marr show starts later than 0900.
