I thought I heard at least 1 slip of the tongue on that interview, perhaps they didn't even hear it at the time.

Interesting it has gone to just Chris, I'm assuming it's still a simulcast and crossing to Ben Brown I thought he was live but it was a recording of the live segment on the earlier BBC1 bulletin.

It is indeed a simulcast, I wonder if he is just filling the 11pm-12am - and when the World gallery and pres team take over from 12am, we'll see if theres going to be a double header or not.

Very much doubt it'll be a double header through the night - and I'm willing to bet it's Alistair Yates or whoever was otherwise scheduled to present. Will also be interesting to see if the two channels go their separate ways tomorrow or more simulcasting - presumably the other news of tomorrow and the what developments Libya takes will dictate what they do.

Double header at 12am with Peter Dobbie and Juliet Dunlop (probably one of the last times we'll see her before her move to STV). Both in N8.

Yep as I said and in N8, is there any reason they couldn't have remained in N6 overnight?

In N8 too! Looks like this simulcast might last through the night. Can't imagine Peter Dobbie will be staying though, he's already done six hours!

BBC World's team take over from 12am - probably easier to start off in N8 instead of moving from N6 to N8 at 12:30am like usual (that can't happen anyway as the scheduled program will be cancelled) - also, N6 needs to cool down overnight which is why it is not usually used on overnights.

I find the 2 presenter shot in N8 doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be in News 24 days, the camera positioning seems a little awkward.

I wonder if Adnan Nawaz or someone else will come in to relieve Peter Dobbie at 1am?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the overnight anchor (and so presumably team?) actually do the 00:00-01:00 hour in N6 and then move to N8? They certainly used to. They've also used N6 enough times for overnights you'd have thought they could stay put, seeing as a night like tonight will probably see a fair increase across in world (especially) + domestic viewers.

Its nice to see double headed presentation over night.

May well only be for an hour or two though - the 22:00-00:30 NC presenter (usually Chris Eakin) has anchored with the overnight presenter during the 01:00 hour before when substantial news has broken late, but the rest of the shift is usually anchored by only one presenter.

How come N8 doesn't get a chance to 'cool down' on the overnights if N6 can, as presumbly it's used as long as N6, in fact longer, as presumbly it does it's own breakfast show while TC7 'subs' for N6 for the first bit of 'Breakfast on weekdays?

(Surely this should be an occasion when N9 is used if only to make sure it's still working if the **** hits the fan technically at other times?)
