Hmmm. I have just caught the overnight on BBC World and am watching newscaster James Dagwell for the first time. Er. I have never really seen him presenting (or reporting) before.

Not sure how to describe the presentation style. Let's just say, he's different from Doily!!

I shall continue to watch carefully......welcome along to nightimes, James.

Anitta McVeigh is back from maternity leave, on with Chris now.

Sally Nugent is presenting the 4-7 shift again - it seems that Peter may just be doing his 1-7 Saturday shift now, as for the past month (when the shift became 4-7 instead of 5-7) he's been on every Saturday, but not on Sundays - possibly Sally is now going to be a regular weekend presenter?

James has definitely done nights before.

LOL. I see. Good for him!

BTW, did I just catch a glimpse of Zeinab Badawi standing in for Andrew Marr today? BBC World aired a report about cabinet colleagues rallying round the PM, and showed a small segment of the Andrew Marr Show and a very brief glimpse of someone that looked like ZB.

If so, she sure gets around a lot, although I read elsewhere that Susanna Reid was to be standing in for Marr. The person I saw looked like Zeinab however.

Susanna covered the final Politics Show of the series last week, and Huw Edwards said that Zeinab would be presenting this weeks Andrew Marr Show.

Sissons doing the BULLETINS tonight - and how well he did the early evening one too. If the BBC are to retain him, please let him do them rather than rolling news.

So that's who was covering for Andrew Marr. I've never seen her before, because I'm not a World viewer, and missed what the announcer said in the introduction.

I'm guessing that News 24 Sunday (or News Sunday as it would be now) has been shelved with The Andrew Marr Show continuing for the duration of the summer.

She is pretty well known in this country for her past work on Channel 4 News.

Incidentally, it looks like it may be a rotating stand-in presenter, as Huw Edwards was on the programme last week.

Zeinab announced at the end of yesterday's programme that Emily Maitlis will be presenting on 31st August, when the programme returns after the Olympics.

Hi all, just a quick question about weekend sport, not sure if this is the case:

Breakfast Sports Presenter - does news channel updates til 1400
Afternoon Sports Presenter - does updates between 1400 and 1830/1900 (Saturday Sportsday - joined by Evening Presenter for 1830 & 1930)
Evening Presenter - 1830/1900 - 2200
Afternoon Presenter returns for evening national bulletin?

Not sure just seen Sean F do Afternoon NC on Sat, Dan W does evenings then Sean returned for the national and Francis do the same yesterday

Was just interested, thanks
