Does Kirsty present the Review Show often? If she does then this reduces how much Newsnight she can present considering it's from Scotland - possibly takes out Thursday and Friday.

Which only leaves Emily and Gavin on those days, both of whom have other responsibilities. If Mishal had become a new Newsnight presenter the BBC would have announced it, and I somehow doubt they'd put any presenter on for such a long run before confirming them as a permanent presenter. It's more likely none of the current team want to or can do Fridays for a while.

She usually does Newsnight either Wednesday or Thursday, and then The Review Show on Friday, although Martha Kearney presents The Review Show at least once a month as well.

I think World is trying to make David Eades the new JC - he seems to be popping up almost everywhere. He did GMT on Monday, The Hub on Wednesday and has been doing World News Today alternating with Tim Willcox this week.

What has happened to Martine Croxall? since the rumours of her replacing Chris Eakin were proved not to be true she seems to have only done about 4 shifts since the beginning of the month...has she been on World?

With someone stating Babita has replaced Martine on overnights..does this now mean she is just a relief presenter so may just appear every so often?

I don't think she has a permanent slot anymore - I think she'll just do shifts here and there - filling in as necessary.

Good lord. Chris Eakin isn't going anywhere. Martine Croxall presented for a few weeks - and?

Why all this talk of replacements, moving on etc... Chill out people, it's probably holiday time or these people actually have other work outside of the BBC. Croxall has been a BBC presenter for many years, for as long as I can remember. Eakin, much the same.

I thought Alastair Stewart worked a lot doing all four ITV News bulletins today - but Tim Willcox has as usual outshone him. 11am-2pm shift with Julia Somerville, World News Today at 7pm GMT and now 10:25-00:30 shift! That's five and a half hours on air today.

Unless I'm mistaken, he has now presented shifts for the last 13 consecutive days on the NC without having a day off at all. Although I think his record is 20+, wonder if he can beat it?

Clive Myrie on the Saturday news for the first time this evening. He always looks so uncomfortable in side/graphics shots! And Tim Willcox on the NC, again, this evening.

You mean on the BBC 1 bulletin, or a day shift on the NC? If the former, he's done it before.
