Maybe just a couple of try outs like Stephanie has done.

Replacing Emily? I can think of a couple of positions two of the other newsnight presenters might be interested in potentially coming up in the next few years.

That's it! JC has gone - any on-screen mention? From what I can infer Martine Dennis and Peter Dobbie are taking over as 0500 presenters. Any ideas?

David Eades said Thursday was "pink shirt day"!

Louise Minchin presenting the BBC One Weekend News for the first time in a very long time

BUT, why not just have Martine Croxall presenting such a short 5-min bulletin? She was already in studio N6 so would make far more sense, surely?

Yes, nice to see Louise back, she hasn't presented since Susanna did her stint on Sunday live last year.

However, please lets not get into ANOTHER discussion about bringing presenters in for 5 minutes; we had it last week: http://www.tvforum.co.uk/thenewsroom/bbc-national-news-presentation-27697/page-107 (last comment on the page and the following page)

Naga Munchetty did JC's old slot this morning and I think she was excellent. I'm not her biggest fan, yet her Valentine's Day newspaper review was very enjoyable. She was 100 times better than overnights! So, I assume Babita Sharma and James Dagwell will slot into the overnights, allowing Naga to do the JC slot.

But Valentine's Quote of the Day goes to Emily Maitlis who said, "I love sitting next to Tim, he just radiates love." Wow! That's quite something, eh!

I notice that Jon Sopel was presenting up until 10pm tonight on the NC - a little out-of-the-ordinary.
