Mishal is the regular face for Sundays but there's no set presenter for Saturdays, like you said, it would be nice to see Julia as a regular face on Saturdays.

Kate is the regular face for Saturday but only for every alternative Saturday and someone else from the NC fills in the other weeks. Anyway, I don't think Saturday is as important as Sunday - I would imagine there would be less of an audience on Saturday night. And let's face it, which presenter would want to commit to every saturday evening!?!

Looks like I'm the only one bucking the trend here, but, I'm not to impressed with her. She keeps missing every cue by a good 2 seconds! And regardless of the whole Miriam O'Reilly thing, I think there are far better people for that bulletin - how about putting Maxine Mahwinney on and giving her Saturday NC shift to Martine Croxall for instance.

She's a hell of a lot better then she was (is?) on the News Channel - on there she is completely out of her comfort zone, stuttering, forgetting where she was, looking at wrong cameras - just like Peter Sissons was.

She reads with miles more authority than most, and she's certainly better than Kate Silverton, who is pretty average anyway, and you can just tell does not want to be presenting on a Saturday night.

It will never happen, but Julia on the Ten for Friday, Saturdays and Sundays would be a good idea.

Looks like all the big guns are out - Lyse has been holding things together on a hotel roof, Jeremy Bowen is on the ground, and John Simpson has been reporting by phone from Alexandria.

Also, BBC Radio Leeds' Alex Belfield has been reporting on the phone from Sharm el Sheik - presumably he's been on holiday there.

Lyse has been truly brilliant over the last few days. Nik Gowing now anchoring World from N9 back in London. Not normal to see Nik on a Sunday.

This is thoroughly good coverage from BBC News on the scene. Really good.

From what I've gathered, he was on World pretty much all last week, then did the 630-10 and 1030-1 shifts on the NC on Friday night. Then, according to his twitter page, he must have got on board a flight to Cairo straight after finishing his late NC shift! He must have slept on the plane!

How does he do it?!?!
