Matthew on in the evenings quite a lot recently, plus Ben on earlier - a temporary change, or more permanent?

Ben does tend to swap around quite a lot with Jon or Matthew, so I wouldn't think too much to recent proceedings

They always tend to do a swap the week that crime watch is on. I think Matthew must be involved in rehearsals during the day for it.

Yet again Joanna has not done a full week presenting but it was nice to see Annita on this evening...I suppose she'll be trying to pick up more relief now that her weekend shifts have been cut.

Martine Croxall on the late evenings, Naga Munchetty in the evenings, James Dagwell and Juliet Dunlop on the red button headlines - who's been doing the overnights recently?

Alistair Yates. Period.

Seriously though, Deborah Mackenzie's been on too - two presenters who need considerably more airtime.

Big stories developing in Cairo and Johannesburg today. The anchor positioning has already started. Lyse Doucet is already in Cairo for BBC World News and The Hub, although will be interesting to note if the authorities allow the comms to work, as they've already cut out every other imaginable manner of communication.

My guess is that she'll also be ready to fly south to JNB if things develop for the worse there.

Both of these are, sadly, potentially huge stories, in fact.

Was great to see Lyse on Breakfast this morning. Why oh why don't they allow her to file for the 1, 6 and 10.

She has been great all day on World. She also anchored GMT from location, whilst Jonathan Charles was in London and Stephen Sackur in Davos. Lyse also feeding into Impact live from Cairo as well. The bloodied BBC correspondent was startling stuff.

On the subject of Jonathan Charles, was today - perchance - his last day at the BBC?

She's really busy! She just did the 4 o'clock top of the hour on the NC. Great GMT by the way, was that JC's last programme? No mention of it yet on his 5am Newshour!

LOL at Sophie Long; "That there was Lee-zee Doo-say" Lyse Doucet!!!

You'll be able to hear him on tomorrow morning's iPM.

Naga Munchetty and Tim Willcox are on now, seeming to blitz the Egypt protests for the next few hours - unusual as Naga, in the 'left' chair would usually only be there at 6.30. No sign of Sportsday

Presume the seat reversal is to enable Tim to talk regularly tonight to Frank Gardner in the interview screen right position, rather than talking 'across' Naga.
