Roger Johnston on now....was he on before the bulletin at 10pm?

No, Roger JOHNSON (spelling!) started at 2215, standing up at the wall first, and then doing the rest of the shift normally. Not too sure who did Breakfast or morning shift - but I can say that James Dagwell did the overnight shift, and Karin Giannone did the BBC World News 5am programme with Juliette Foster - a quite funny TOTH as Juliette, in her heels looked almost twice the height of Karin! And Matthew Amroliwala and Jane Hill did the 11-2, with Jane Hill also doing a short version of The News At One.

Jon Kay and Louise Minchin did Breakfast. Can't tell you who did the morning shift, good to hear Jane Hill was back on 11-2

Enjoying Tim and Emily's interactions this afternoon - the afternoon slot is often quite stale without Jon and Louise/ Emily.

I agree, always enjoy it with whoever Emily's on with - be it Jon, Tim, Ben Brown or Nicholas Owen

Couldn't agree more. Emily's "analysis" of a technology report was quite comical: "No, not the Wii, but I like y'know the music ones." And their little 'headline competition!

Indeed. Juliette is tall, and Karin is small. I think they were quite good actually, and it makes me wonder which pairing will take over from the departing Jonathan Charles and the temporarily absent Sally Bundock. I would quite like to see Juliette presenting more news and/or business on World. And one thing that they did well today was close the bulletin properly. No hurried hash-up, and a very tidy ending and goodbyes.

I think it might be David Eades/Lucy Hockings, with a World deputy presenter shifted in to his/her current slot - what's she doing at the moment anyway, having a baby? I can't think of an ideal pairing, (maybe Komla Dumor and Aaron Heslehurst?) but imagine if it was Tim Willcox!!! Nevertheless, the old 'Jon and Sal' double act will be surely missed. Also, I think the programme should be re-branded to say, 'The World Today', 'News Journal' or 'World News Today'.

Emily solo at 5pm today. Not a normal 5 though because a taped programme has just started for the rest of the hour

Looking at twitter, it seems as if Owen Thomas was actually supposed to do the 5am shift, but swapped with Karin. Emily Maitlis by herself "today at five!"

They seem to be doing the same as last year - 1400-1700 two presenters and then 1700-1800 one presenter of the two.

And at one point, Tim was holding her pen, and she snatched it out of his hand quite comically! Quite different from the normal afternoon chemistry, and not too excessive either.

Yes, I saw that too, it definitely adds to the news being a 'programme' that you ought to keep watching! But, the ultimate pair are her and Jon Sopel. Although, I don't think the controllers like that though, as they haven't been on in about a month or so. BTW Martine Croxall's here with the late NC shift.
