I seriously have to question the value of bringing Sophie in for that bulletin especially as Sophie Long is presenting again on the BBC News Channel.

The bulletin seemed to be about 9 minutes long.

Yes, I would agree, she should have either done both evening and late bulletins or nothing at all.

EDIT: Got there first LONDON. Too exciting for words, isn't it?

Did not see that one coming! Shocked Just no point!

So who will we see tomorrow? Will we see bulletins on the channel single-headed or double headed? It's going to be an interesting day folks. Make sure you're tuned to the BBC News Channel at 9 Smile

I wish they'd just use the Duty News channel presenter for the evning bulletins as well.

With the bulletin times being disjointed as it is... keep chopping and changing presenters adds to the confusion.

It's down to the BBC One bosses and their ratings with a 'High profile presenter' Confused

The Christmas Red Tie has been passed onto Peter Dobbie today, who is now presenting the TWT slot on BBC World. Edit: Maryam Moshiri is doing the business in place of Sally Bundock, who has now gone off on leave.

Owen Thomas is off on hols to the Carribbean next week, according to his tweets. Lucky him!

Strange choice if true! Surely they would be able to get someone from the News Channel before they get her. They could be sneakily trying her out; after all, she'll be up in Salford for 5 Live when they move!!

Good choice, IMO. There are many radio voices who would do well on tv.

No GMT on BBC World today. Karin Giannone with a regular bulletin instead.

Could quite possibly be a mistake. If you look at the 5 live schedule she is presenting her own show at 10am that morning.
