It's nowhere near as Christmassy as the one currently worn by Richard Quest on CNN!

On the NC; Simon McCoy took over from 4pm and then Mishal Husain did the BBC One bulletin (at 5pm) and now Roger Johnson's here at 9pm and will probably stay 'til midnight.

EDIT: Roger Johnson did indeed stay until midnight, with Mishal doing the BBC One bulletin at 10.30. James Dagwell took over at Midnight, and oddly enough said, "good morning!"

Suprisingly, I must say that Roger Johnson is doing very well, and is proving to be a robust presenter - although his schedule hasn't been as hectic as a weekday political mad scene!!! He's a lot friendlier than some of the other lot, no OTT 'time-checking' and would like to see more of him.

House, I completely agree - but I, personally, do find it quite odd!

You mean because it feels like it's night time, rather than the morning, or you found his way particularly odd?

But, bear in mind that where I was watching (or could have been if I was awake), it would be 4am, in which case Good Morning is the right thing to say. (However, it would have been noon in New Zealand, hence Good Afternoon would have been more appropriate..............................)

..............best just to have said "Hello".

Tim Willcox???? On a BBC News bulletin??? For a sixteen hour shift?????? Never!!

By the way, Chris, looks like Tim has won my poll on the other thread - Newscaster of the Year. What shall we send him as the prize? (Preferably some sort of hair product.............)
