Nice to see Sian is finally having a week off!

Poor old Charlie Stayt, who hasn't had a week off since August, isn't even having Boxing Day off, and I presume he's working Mon 27th Dec to make up for his absence on Christmas Day?!

Maybe Sian's going to appear on the News At Six this week, seeing as George is off with Fiona covering so far?

I doubt it since Sophie is on today and probably tomorrow with Fiona on Friday again.

I doubt we'll see Sian on the 6 again, she hasn't presented for over a year and they tend to use Mishal or Kate instead - probably easier to cover to get cover for what they do.

Since when has Reeta Chakrabarti been the BBC's Education Correspondent? I only ask because I thought she was one of the Political correspondents.

I wonder if we'll have a repeat of Charlie's on air Boxing Day blooper which he did last year and kept on getting the time wrong bless him. (Theres a video on Youtube but I can't find it at the mo).

Actually, surprisingly, no. Tim didn't appear at all on World on 7th Dec. The Hub was presented on that day by Geeta Guru-Murthy, which was unusual to see. I don't think she's done The Hub before.

Karin Giannone was also on, doing the news. Geeta appeared to struggle with Karin's surname though. LOL. I think she pronounced it three different ways during each of the three handovers.

Unusually, Karin Giannone was doing the the 2225-0100 shift last night/this morning on the NC. Nice to see her there and I'm sure you've had this debate before, but as I;m new I thought that I'd mention - isn't Maryam Moshiri such a bundle of fun!!! Is it her mission to stop every single joke that Joanna and Ben or whoever is trying to run with?

There have been plenty of occasions where Maryam has been involved in humour with the main co-presenters. I think, apart from anything, it depends on the time of day and who the co-presenters are.

Stephanie Flanders is down for Newsnight on Friday and then it's a whole week of Gavin Esler!
