Mishal has left a rather intriguing comment on her Twitter about Christmas Day at the BBC being full of goodwill - presenting duties this year perhaps?

They were really rather warm this morning. As much as I like Jane and Matthew, it was actually a nice change to see Julia and Nicholas today. Be great if they could find them a regular slot to present, even if only a single shift a week.

Mishal will be presenting on Christmas Day again according to her twitter.

Which is probably not all that bizarre, given that there's a strong possibility that some people may not actually celebrate Christmas. Contrary to popular belief, not all Newsreaders necessarily follow the same religion or celebrate the same holidays, if you know what I mean.........................Mishal for the Ten!! That's what I say.

Tim Willcox doing The Hub AGAIN!! Nik is hardly ever on these days. And good to see a rather dapper James Reynolds in Geneva, labelled as "The BBC's Teheran Correspondent".

Oh, and I say we should campaign to have James Naughtie as the new anchor on the Six! May liven things up a bit!

Nicholas back on again now, doing the Five. I suppose Huw is taking another week off, again Rolling Eyes

I don't know why they call it 'BBC News at Five O' Clock with Huw Edwards' when he hardly ever presents it!

I think Nicholas Owen is a much better choice for the Five anyway, and Peter Sissons also was too (when there was less breaking news to deal with, not his strong point)

On the BBC programme guide they just call it "BBC News at Five O'Clock", they dropped the "with Huw Edwards" some time ago. However in the description part it says - "Presented by Huw Edwards, with in-depth discussions and analysis as well as breaking news." Is it different on Sky?

On Sky it is exactly the same

Chris Rogers doing a Tim today by doing his second shift (630-10) of the day on the News Channel (he also did the afternoon shift)

Quite surprising really since Tim did 11-2

Tim's probably been on BBC World News since then Wink still, we are seeing a lot of Chris Rogers at the moment. Not that that's a bad thing, I think he's settling in quite well. Then again, given the number of female relief presenters they have compared to male - and how many shifts male relief presenters need to fill - it's time to bring back Stuart Flinders in my opinion.

I thought that, but then I thought despite that he could quite easily still do the evening shift as well, going by his track record Cool

Wouldn't by any means be the first time he's managed to squeeze in a World shift between 2 NC slots! Smile
