We won't be seeing as much of Kate Silverton then, when Sophie returns.

Has Ellie Crisell returned from her leave yet? It's clear from this clip that by the time Lizo was leaving Newsround she had already had the baby.this clip

Yes, it seems just the 90 second update

Would seem odd to have Kate on the update after lower profile presenters like Celina, Riz and Luisa have been covering - possibly there might be some sort of reshuffle, or Kate will focus more on the foreign reporting/Panorama side of things that was mentioned initially - her website doesn't say.

Not a fan of Kate ... be good to have Sophie back, I must say I really like George on the 10. i would keep him there with Mishal and then have Fiona and Jane Hill on the 6 with Sophie and Joanna Gosling doing the 1

I expect Sophie will return to the One when it returns after its 2 weeks off in August.

Since when has the One had two weeks off in August?

Due to the Olympic Games, I believe it's being shifted back by one hour and will probably be shortened.

It would seem Breakfast could be affected too.

From BBC Sport

We will be broadcasting from approximately 0200 to 1800 BST each day (some events such as the equestrian start earlier than 0200) and we will screen live coverage of the day's best sport.

The One will not be shortened but is being moved to 12.00 for the Olmpics, with Olympic coverage moving to BBC2 for that time.

BBC Breakfast will be shown on the BBC News Channel between 6 and 8.30 for the duration of the games - as was confirmed by NickyS in the Olympic thread. Olympic Breakfast on BBC1 will have News bulletins, weather and the regional news.

Friday 10.30pm and no Tim Willcox! Is he actually on holiday?

He's not been on the news channel all week, so, unless he's been on World, he's actually had 5 consecutive days off! Its been better actually, as the likes of Stuart, Brian Hanrahan, Robert Hall, Manish Bhasin and Nicholas Owen have all been covering instead of him.
