Well there's a hark back to the past - Nicholas Owen and Julia Somerville on the News Channel at the moment.
I can't see that from where I am, but would imagine it's a good pairing indeed. Individually, both Nicholas and Julia are excellent newscasters IMO. I would honestly love to see them both presenting a mainstream bulletin together, although it is highly unlikely to happen.
Some other movements here on World this week:
Maryam Moshiri presenting the daytime business segments this week;
Juliette Foster has been doing Business Edition at the early part of the week;
Tanya Beckett is also back on Business Edition;
Babita Sharma has been newscasting during the daytime midweek, which is unusual (she is normally on at weekends, if at all);
Shaun Ley did weekend news, as I reported earlier;
Peter Dobbie has done a whole week of The Hub again (except for tonight, when Nik Gowing is back from his short stint in Morocco);
Lyse Doucet being done Impact Asia this week, whilst Mishal Husain is in Honkers;
Nisha Pillai turned up out of the blue this week to stand-in for Zeinab Badawi one night;
Jonathan Charles stood-in for Zeinab on the other night she wasn't on;
Komla Dumor doing news at various points during the week.
I really miss Nisha Pillai on BBC World. Along with Martine Dennis, Nik Gowing and Peter Dobbie, she is the only other who harks back to the initial days of BBC World in the early nineties.
