I really like Naga Munchetty and its good to see her doing things outside the BBC, such as her doing this spirits programme on Living, and its also good to see her when presenting 'Breakfast', overnights (although I don't watch at this time, still good to hear she's doing them), and when she's acting as a relief presenter during the day on BBC News.

It was also good to see Declan Curry on BBC News last weekend presenting "Your Money" at 10.40am on Saturday

Two very good presenters who its good to see getting other work now that 'Working Lunch' has ended

How come Maxine Mawhinney never seems to appear during the week anymore?

Might be a contract agreement , Also the fact that BBC Is overflowed with female relief presenters and the arival of the older gils to ensure BBC's wider range of faces , Naga, Sophie Long, Sue Therle etc.

Tanya Beckett back on Business Edition on BBC World, so I guess her appearance on RBR was just a temporary thing.

On another note, not really very PC to describe the overnight anchor as a "decent bit of totty"! I am sure Alistair Yates is thrilled by your compliments, but probably would prefer that you keep all such compliments away from a public forum such as this. Wink

Probably the latter. They seem to have no shortage of female presenters - they are forever pairing them together!

Indeed, I remember just a couple of years ago whenever there was a female pairing on the NC it would be worthy of a mention on this forum (before my day, obviously). Nowadays, it's practically the norm!

Has there ever been any male pairings in recent years on BBC One National, the News Channel or World News? I remember Jon Sopel and Huw Edwards presenting together on the day of the July 7

The only male pairing I have seen was when the Chilean miners were rescued. World & News Channel simulcasted with Mike Embley and Chris Eakin.

I'm sure I remember Tim WIllcox and Chris Eakin double heading at one point. IIRC Tim came back at 10.30 with chris to cover a breaking story but I could be wrong.

Tim and Ben presented together in a 6.30-10 shift once...early 2009 maybe. And I remember Peter Sissons and Stuart Flinders together on a Saturday afternoon when the Northern Rock story broke.
