Hmmm, Strange choice of stand in. Did George do WNT earlier?

George is on the 10 all week (Sian is on 10 Fri), so Matt Frei is on Mon-Thurs I think.

Found his presentation refreshingly good, he's well suited to bulletin news. WNA is excellent. Those who witnessed his efforts on N24 previously will no doubt agree that on rolling news he can't cope.

Have just seen Jeremy Bowen tagged as World Affairs Editor on the News Channel...when did this happen? Also, great handling of breaking news by Stuart Flinders, and great contacts on the phone - well done BBC!

Well I hadn't heard about any possible replacement of John Simpson, but is this official? Anyone heard anything?

Obviously a mistake, no?

Interesting to hear Nick Robinson alongside Evan Davies presenting the Today programme this morning. Political Editor and former Economics Editor.

Nick Robinson's sounded very good at it.

Maybe these two will be replacing Humphreys and Naughtie when the time comes?

Interesting to hear Emily Maitlis refer to Ben Brown as SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT. Another mistake, or does Ben double up as that?

Considering that Ben spends 90% plus of his time as a NC Anchor, he's very much a 'Special Correspondent' in this context.

He's obviously being used,. in this case, following his previous dealings with Karadzic.

I'm really impresssed by Stuart Flinders whenever I see him - hopefully someone who will end up with a permenant shift in the future (maybe a slot at weekends when Sissons retires?)

Got to say, I think Matt is great! Much less patronising tone than George...is odd though...maybe hes doing a Michael Peschard, and spending some time over here

You're kidding right? Matt is very patronising, have you never seen WNA?

I must agree with the eye (I know - controversial). Watching him on the six tonight he was very patronising, adding silly little comments e.g. when he was talking about fuel, he said something along the lines of, "fuel prices are going down at last (bet you're glad to hear that)" which I really dislike.
