Papal visit coverage on BBC World was voiced-over by Tim Willcox in London (on The Hub) and Mike Wooldridge anchored WNT live from Glasgow, with David Eades in London.

I'm really impressed with Annita McVeigh today as she has really coped well with the coverage and breaking news. I'm also glad they kept her on for the Five rather than bringing Huw or another presenter in.

Kirsty Lang and Pooneh Ghodooseh doing The Hub tonight on BBC World. First time have ever seen Kirsty on The Hub. Tim Willcox has been filling-in for Nik Gowing for the last couple of months, since Lyse Doucet has been unavailable.

Wonder where Nik has disappeared to?

She was with a bloke at 11.00am. Don't know his name, though. I think he might be a regional presenter.

Pooneh Ghodoosi (main anchoring) and Martine Croxall (newscasting) on The Hub tonight. Very rare pairing. No sign of Tim today, nor Nik Gowing, nor Peter Dobbie for that matter.

It was also a very long day for David Eades.

Heard Tanya Beckett on BBC World Service the other night (Business Daily). Is she still doing Business Edition on BBC World News?

Busy day for him then, he presented South Today at 6.30pm as well.

No, she is not doing Business Edition at the moment. She is on maternity leave, although according to reports on Twitter, Tanya will be back on screen very soon.

Jamie Robertson and Owen Thomas are filling-in for her on BBC World News. Occasional fill-ins have been Michelle Fleury and Juliette Foster as well.
