Is there a reason why Nick Robinson never covered Cameron's first visit to the states as PM last week?? This week he is not covering Cameron's visit to India which is odd as Laura Kuenssberg is providing the BBC reporting Confused .

I know that Nick has a series about "the five days that changed Britain", also it wouldn't surprise me if he were on holiday for a week or two after the election. Frankly Cameron visiting the US is hardly big news compared to the things Robinson's been working 24/7 on for the past four or so months.

And there is a reason the BBC decided to have a Deputy Political Editor and make Laura Kuenssberg more senior!

Yes Probabaly due to the fact bbc has such a wide news and current affairs platform it has 3 BBC One programmes + breakfast , weekend news , a parliementry channel , news channel and many special programmes as well as daily politics and this week they need a wide range of reporters and sky do the same thing .

We don't usually get to see Laura appearing here on BBC World, as I guess she usually covers domestic political stories and not normally those of international significance. However, during the recent UK elections, she co-anchored a couple of simulcasts here on World. She was rather good indeed and evidently relished handling the fast and furious paced nature of said election. I can see Laura going far at BBC News.

Hi ginofish. Daily Politics is NOT shown on BBC World. The only flagships we get are Dateline London and Panorama.

A few days ago, Sue Thearle appeared presenting the Sports News on BBC World. I thought she was totally news these days, and no more sports. Does she still do the sport over on the News Channel as well?

Also here on World, we had Komla Dumor doing David Eades' shift yesterday. Haven't seen him behind the desk in ages.

Sue often does sports news on the NC - she seems to be more of a relief presenter on both though. She's freelance if I remember correctly. Has to be said I never understood why Breakfast had separate Monday-Thursday, Friday and Saturday-Sunday sports presenters - having two is more than adequate.

Yes, we get both NewsWatch and Click, as well as Fastrack and HardTalk. However, all of those are BBC News Channel combined products, if I am not mistaken. Panorama is the only recognised network programme aired on World. (My earlier comment about Dateline is somewhat invalid, as I don't believe it is shown on BBC Network, is it?)

On the subject of presenters and rotas in fact, who stands-in for Gavin Esler on Dateline when he's not here?

To my mind, the only other presenter I've seen is Carole Walker (Political correspondent).
