If the BBC NC bit is true, it would be great to see Katie reunited with Nicholas Owen at some point.

I see former Newsround presenter Rachel Horne, back from maternity leave on business today. Definate mistake in my opinion - presenters like Maryam Moshiri, Babita Sharma, Dominic Laurie are far better, and also know the correct pronunciation of the word 'pound' - quite important in my opinion.

How does Rachel say it then (whoever she is).

I caught newsround yesterday. It was a bit, er... excitable.

She's from Northern Ireland - it's her accent. What do you think she should do? Put a voice on?

I have no problem with her being Irish, or having an Irish accent. I just don't like Rachel Horne. As far as I can tell she has no training or experience in Business, economics or finances, other than a brief stint reporting for Working Lunch, and seems a very unnatural presenter at points. To be fair she seemed better today to she did before going on maternity leave, but still.

The 'pounds' thing is just somewhat annoying, and I find it more unforgivable when she then doesn't ask particularly insightful, analytical questions to interviewers and lacks any on-screen personality.

And instead of all the reasons you listed you found fault with her accent?

No, I find her accent annoying, but not the big problem with the presenter. Her lack of credibility, business insight, skills reading an autocue and interview skills are far below many other business presenters for the channel.

Did anyone see if that was Mishal Husain presenting the 3pm bulletin? I only caught the last 0.5 seconds but it did look like her - it would be nice if she became a regular fixture on the Six.

YES! She is sooo suited to National News. More of Mishal please. One wonders whether she'll do the ten this evening.
