Not only will Fiona Foster join BBC World's "FastTrack" programme, but she will also be a new member of the hosting team of "The World Debate".

I wonder if she will eventually move over to the newsdesk?

Sure hope so!

Who on earth is this bloke anchoring at the moment?

I don't like his style very much tbh.

Agreed. Surely they can't be that thin on the ground for presenters. He's unwatchable, looks ridiculous whoever he's sat with.

Is that some sort of dig at his weight? If you don't like him (I think he's alright personally) then fair enough, but I don't see how him being overweight has any bearing on his ability to read the news, or makes him look ridiculous.

Louisa Baldini is just as bad... wooden and seems to put emphasis on the wrong words. Great reporter - news channel anchor, definite no no.

I think Louisa will improve, that's the difference. I'd imagine Geoff's time on the NC was maybe part of the BBC's agreement when he left SE Today.

Surely a presenter like Mike Ramsden or Asad Ahmed of BBC London would be better suited as a relief presenter?

Geoff had a very big following in the South East and has over 30 years experience within journalism. He is superb.
