Is Fiona set to present regularly in this slot from now on? If so, what happens to Rachel and Carrie?

I think Fiona's doing a fine job, considering this is her first time on a rolling news channel after a career of presenting bulletins. Her delivery is very clear and I think once she's settled in she'll be even better. It's great to have the news delivered with some gravitas!

Agreed. So great to be watching Fiona once again.

Always loved her at ITN.

Actually, before anyone pipes up about my love of the elder presenter.. I am from the era when Barnes, Carpenter, Armstrong, Ford, Somerville, Foster dominated our screens.. and it's not some fetish for the elder bird. Wink

Roll on Somerville at 2.

I found that weird that they're going for the over 50's today, Fiona Armstrong (8:30-11), Maxine Mawhinney (11-2) and then Julia Somerville (2-5), I wonder if there will be another for 7-10

I don't think there is anyone else other than Zeinab to present at 7pm, and she'll no doubt be presenting WNT on BBC World News/ BBC.

Lol, she just oozes authority doesn't she? It feels like the glory days of News at Ten!

I agree - like a duck to water. It's so nice to see her back on television news after such a long time away from it, I remember her one-off return to ITN in 2005 and she was on top form then.

It's great to hear that very authoritive, British accent!

Just makes you think about the likes of Ellie Crissell who present Rolling Eyes
