I am rather surprised to see Geoff Clark presenting this evening. Is this a first?
No, he did the evening shift a few months ago on the News Channel - can't recall whether it was during a weekday or a weekend, but he has been on before!
he did a couple of weekends just before Clive started - with Annita.

Nah, it'll get a mention on that thread 'at the other place' at least!
On the subject of Geoff Clark, does he have a regular day job these days?
I find it surprising to see Frank Gardner reporting from a Military Camp in Afghanistan this morning. It must have been a difficult editorial decision to proceed, weighing up the added difficulties associated with his condition.

I think it's great that he's out there. Having previously been primarily a reporter on location, it must have been difficult to move into a mainly office-based job after his attack. I would imagine he must be pleased to be back doing what he does best. I think it also sends out a very positive message about people with disabilities.
Stephen Watson from BBC Northern Ireland reading the News Channel's sport tonight, following a lot of appearances recently from Richard Askam. It does seem like a lot of the old regular presenters (Sean Fletcher, Francis Collings) aren't really appearing any more, and a lot of random presenters cropping up instead.
