Shocked to see in the Radio Times today that Bill and Sian are down to present Breakfast on Friday as well as Monday - Thursday, also Mishal Husain is down to present the News at Ten on Friday.

Will be interesting to see if that happens - they sometimes get it wrong - they had Huw down for Mon-Thur of last week but that all changed! It will be good if Mishal does Friday!

Mishal for the Ten - brilliant!

Charlie and Susanna on Breakfast this morning...hopefulyl Mishal will still do the 10

Since Sophie is doing the One and Six today it looks very likely that Mishal will do the Ten.

Sorry. Its Huw tonight.

where did you find that out? I was looking forward to Mishal presenting Crying or Very sad

Cause he sitting next to me....

As somebody said in the presentation thread Julia Somerville will be presenting BBC News on Monday 2-5 with Nicholas Owen

Definitely looking forward to seeing Julia reading the news again, and with a former colleague to boot. Though I know I'll feel strange watching the two of them on the BBC, having watched them both on ITN for years...!

So, don't keep me in suspense over here - was it Mishal or Huw? Given the apparent lack of further dialogue in this thread, I am guessing it was Huw indeed??

Thank-you, Michael.

Today on BBC World, we have the pleasure of Karin Giannone doing the first morning shift (the shift normally undertaken by Owen Thomas or Jannat Jalil.) It's the first time I''ve seen Karin in ages on World.

Yes, she has been on maternity leave - but quite a short time of leave, she went off during October 09. Just under 4 months.

A year or two ago Joanna Gosling was on maternity leave for only three months I think

That's because her pregnancy only lasted 4 months, she knew she had to get back on the telly asap otherwise the fantasy rotas of so many would be ruined.

Was Mike Embley doing a weekend shift on World today? Just saw him presenting "This Week", which is normally done by the Saturday anchor.

I am rather surprised to see Geoff Clark presenting this evening. Is this a first?

No, he did the evening shift a few months ago on the News Channel - can't recall whether it was during a weekday or a weekend, but he has been on before!

Is that the fellow who looks like Henry VIII?
