What's up with Simon McCoy. Seemed distressed at start of news then, like something was wrong.

Anyone reckon he turned up to N6 forgetting and had to leg-it to N9 so only just got there in time!!!?

Would that not be typical him?!?

I don't know. Why don't you tell us, since you clearly know him personally?

He seemed a little ill this morning as well and he coughed several times.

NO!?! REALLY?!?!?!?!?

He's a human. Humans get ill.

Or do you think that newsreaders are just things on the telly that get powered up every news bulletin? Wazzock.

Very educational video of how to make a snowball just then, from Nick Ravenscroft, but Nick once made chuck the damn thing, holding it in uncovered hands results in an impromptu display of single handed juggling which is most amusing and does nothing to add to the report.

Breaking news on the news channel. Moria Stuart is to read the news on Chris Evans new Radio 2 show starting next monday. Glad she'll be coming out of that cupboard under the stairs. Laughing

Interesting timing. Chris Evans was 'annoucing' that on This Morning at about the same time. Was it really 'breaking news' or was it just someone mentioning it in passing?

News Channel has a breaking news strap for it, it was gone at the end of the announcement.

So pleased she's back...albeit in voice only! Pretty well summed up by Evans himself: "It doesn't get any better than Moira Stuart: The voice, the authority, the style, the class.."

There's a rule on news presenters appearing on adverts isn't there (I assume it's radio too)? Therefore, she'll have to stop doing those tax ones.

A bit of a shortage on presenters today? Newsround's Sonali doing the business and an unknown (to me) doing the sport now on News Channel.

And Kate doing the 3pm summary, saying she'd be back at 6. Will that be her first time presenting The Six?

She presented once during last year - it was in May/June maybe. It will be interesting to see who does the news at 10pm as Sophie was down to do it but she doesn't appear to be doing the news at 6. They must all be snowed in!
