Does Mishal have some sort of phobia about being on the news channel without being on BBC One?
Whenever she presents the news it always cuts away before going back to the main presenter, with other presenters they will either continue with at least one other story to allow for the change over or continue for the rest of the hour but with her its almost as if as soon as BBC One cuts away she is off!

Maybe she is not under contract to work for the news channel? Just as I have never seen Joanna Gosling working for BBC WORLD apart the healines at 9:30 GMT after Mike Embley.

Maybe she is not under contract to work for the news channel? Just as I have never seen Joanna Gosling working for BBC WORLD apart the healines at 9:30 GMT after Mike Embley.

Mishal has stayed on the News Channel previously, I can count several occasions where she has stayed on until the 30 past or 30 to junction.

Mishal has also presented the News at Five O'Clock in the studio before when Huw was on site somewhere but I can't remember where.

IIRC Mishal did a Sunday evening shift a few years ago on News24 (as it was then) with Charlie Stayt (before he got a regular Breakfast slot) as well as the national news

I agree, but since they bring Ellie Crisell in especially to do a 60 Second Summary it's not even the most wasteful example!

Wierdly on Monday they had Kate Silverton in just to do the 10 minute BBC1 lunchtime bulletin. Tim Willcox was on the News Channel and I'm surprised they didn't use him
Yes - I was surprised at that too - they used Jane Hill for lunchtime today - seems a bit pointless bringing in someone for 10 minutes!
I agree, but since they bring Ellie Crisell in especially to do a 60 Second Summary it's not even the most wasteful example!

No she stopped newsround a while ago - I don't think she returned after having her baby.
