A rarity this evening with Tim Willcox back on the news channel.
Rare like two, maybe three, buses in a row. Wonder if we'll have half the week with him. In fact, given that Monday is discounted, he is now here for at least half of the 'working days' this week. Or at least three out of the four if you count the hour past midnight as a new day! Hurrah.

Just like old times when (back at TVC) he would turn up on 2 NC Shfits a day!

I remember there were days when he would do the early and late shift on the same day AND manage to squeeze in a shift on World in between!

Living in North America, my exposure to BBC World is typically only the broadcasts that are picked up by PBS.
For years BBC World News was not available on cable; now it is but typically in a higher tier that costs a lot. Due to the virus, my provider has unlocked it for free.
I'm familiar with a lot of the BBC World News presenters, but some of these newscasts that are coming across on World that are really meant for BBC News in the UK means I'm seeing some presenters for the first time.
This 2200 GMT newscast I just watched with Kate Silverton was quite good, and I'd never seen her before. Obviously, she's very familiar for UK viewers.
Interesting that the BBC News hasnt made any content available in the streaming arena. CNN, SkyNews and NBC news and countless Intl broadcasters has followed suit. Pubcasters like CBC and ABC Australia either have curated content channels with commercial backing or in the case of ABC Australia a live YouTube channel. The BBC is kinda being left behind. Many in North America are cutting the cord, BBC has seemingly ceded that realm to other players. Sticking with conventional pay tv providers and cable systems and the odd late night broadcasts on a scattered assortment of PBS stations doesnt seem to be very innovative IMO.

One of the PBS stations in Los Angeles carries a delayed World News America at 5PM PT, and a live "late night in London" broadcast at what is 6PM PT.
Its kind of an out of the way place to watch it, but its by no means in the middle of the night. Its right in the heart of the traditional evening news window.
