Was wondering actually if the Nine had been affected or even pulled. Are they still at two hosts for an hour from their own set?

YeahMartin Geissler and Rebecca Curran are still presenting for the hour from Pacific Quay.

But standing further apart.

Anyone?

I know the BBC has put out a call for freelancers recently , so expect to see more of them on our screens as various people are off sick, self-isolating, or just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Where? My friend is a freelance presenter that usually does bits for The Nine, but hasn't heard about this?

There was a tweet with a link from a World Service presenter/reporter on 21 March but it's since been deleted so perhaps they were overwhelmed.

The Edit has been dropped however.

How many people watch The Edit anyway?

Huw Edwards has posted on Instagram that he won't be on screen for a while. With Huw, George and Simon all unavailable for the foreseeable and Fiona's appearances on the news being limited it looks like Sophie, Reeta, Ben, Jane and Clive will be rather busy for the next few weeks (especially if the pattern of 3 BBC one presenters a day continues.

Could be a bit of continuity planning - keep some members of the senior team completely away from work so they can hopefully step in at a later date and relieve the current team.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head here.

There must be some team system in place. With so much uncertainty and with senior figures falling unwell, it makes total sense to keep a cluster of senior presenters off air and safe until absolutely needed.

We’ve not seen Jane Hill on air so much since she returned to work which is great.

I don't have high hopes for Quibi, it's not a bad concept but I'm not sure if people will be willing to pay for short form content.

Tim Willcox is now in Studio E. Is this the first time he's presented from there since 2015?

Just mentioned that. Would be around that sort of time.

Haven't seen him on domestic news for ages. What's up with his eye?

Thinking about it he might have done Dateline a few times but certainly no news shifts afaik.

His eye has been like that for some time. Not sure if it's a condition or make up.

Now he's back in C!
