No Katty Kay. No Jane O’Brien. So who’s going to sit in the seat now for Beyond 100 Days and World News America?
Laura Trevelyan? She and Jane have been the primary replacement for Katty Kay on WNA (I think she’s still the “anchor”). However she lives in New York (her husbands the chief of ABC News)

Had no idea about Katty taking a hiatus. With her husband (ex BBC Tom Carver) co-founding AfricaWorks I’d like to know if he will be based in DC or Senegal and cause her to move permanently?
Having now watched the clip, it seems to be a 3 months hiatus and a commitment to return to World News.
Michelle Fleury is quite capable and has a good rapport with her colleagues. She’s been around for a while actually.
David Eades has been an excellent replacement for Christian for the last one month. I believe he’s better than all the others who have filled-in on that slot. I guess the direction and time zones makes it quite an art..........

This is not the first time Katty has taken extended time away from her role at the BBC. She did so some years back, not quite sure of the reason, but this is not unusual.

Gotta say, I am loving Michelle Fleury covering Beyond 100 Days, she is really shining right now in an onscreen partnership with Christian Fraser. We haven't really seen too much of her personality in her time as New York Business Correspondent, and here, we're seeing not just her personality, but also her real breadth and depth of knowledge. She could be a new rising star of BBC News.
Susannah Streeter is presenting The Briefing on BBC World News this morning. I think this is the first time I’ve seen Susannah presenting a news programme, as opposed to only business programming.
Jonathan Charles will be along with the paper review as well.
