I forgot how good George is for a moment - but my gosh isn't he an excellent writer and reader!

Reeta is on the Ten.

Reeta is on the Ten.

Missed him so much.
And there was me thinking we’d see Simon at 10...

George at Six; Sophie at Ten? No?

Probably. When everyone's back (Huw, George, Sophie, Clive, Reeta and Fiona), they will struggle to fit people in again. Doubt we will see Sophie on the One anymore considering it's a 3 hour news channel shift.

When the lockdown very first started and everyone was still on rota, wasn’t it as follows:-

Huw - Ten Mon-Wed
George - Six Tue-Thu
Sophie - 4-6 Wed, Ten Thu, Six/Ten Fri
Clive - 4-6 Thu-Fri, alternate network bulletins Sunday
Reeta - 4-6 Mon-Tue, alternate network bulletins Sat
Fiona - Six Mon

Which is all well and good, but with Clive not having an evening shift to fall back on, with Sophie not having the One to fall back on, you effectively leave the likes of Clive and Reeta to have one fixed slot a fortnight.

Why can the 4-7 not be considered a fixed slot?

I’m sorry, i do like you cmthwtv, but that sentence makes very little sense to me 🤷‍♀️

Yes it probably doesn't thinking about it.

What I mean is that with there being less slots than there were before the pandemic - even with shorter weeks - it becomes even more difficult to fit everybody in when everyone is not on leave.

Nothing is set in stone, and nothing is normal at this point in time. Everything could change at a moment's notice. For example - NBH could have a building wide spread of CV19...then what? While pondering on shifts and slots is in part what this thread is for, and with me not to wanting to pour water on anyone's fun, it just feels a bit redundant to me.

Things like - maybe Huw could do 4-6 then the 10, smaller shifts, less slots, not being able to fit people in - come on folks - am sure BBC rostering is a well oiled machine, speculation just seems futile.

All we know for now is that Huw is back early September.
Joanna Gosling is due vacation as is Annita, as is Clive and Ben, Sophie and Fiona.
Victoria Derbyshire has taken hers - as has Simon. Jane is probably on hers now.
George is back and let's face it - looking really good!
Rolling News and lesmauresfr gave kudos

The headcount needs to be reduced. Simple as that. And I’m sure, given planned cuts, it will be.

Sorry to throw a spanner into the well-oiled works, but i'm pretty sure Sophie has taken holiday already -- end of July I think.

'Well oiled works' HA! Are you sure about this? I recall Huw doing almost a week of 6 and 10? @Rolling News - stats please. Wink
