Which says everything you need to know about the culture at the BBC. This isn't about some imaginary move to 5 day weeks but people returning to their contracted numbers of days. Freelancers shouldn't be appearing while 2 presenters who are contracted for 4 days each continue to share a shift over 5 days meaning they are only working 2.5 days a week.


Alex - With all due respect, not one person on this forum has any knowledge of what anyone’s contract entails. Let’s quit speculation and see what unravels.

My guessing skills are that immense that I probably can Wink

Only joking. But that is what is most likely to happen, judging by other Fridays/Reeta seeming to cover for Jane yesterday.

Antiques Roadshow was meant to be resuming filming around now which will obviously effect the frequency that Fiona can appear, especially if filming takes place on a Monday.

Monday's Six is normally Fiona, and recently if Huw isn't on the Ten in his usual slots (Mon-Wed) whoever is on the Six does it (Sophie or Fiona). So I'd hazard a guess that it's just working the other way around. George is off at the minute so Sophie has covered his slots.
