Tanya is freelance and occasionally contributes to BBC Radio. She hasn’t presented BBC World News for quite some time, where she was doing weekend and late night slots infrequently when she stopped being a business presenter.

After all these years, she's left a full time role for freelance? How long ago did that happen?

I’m pretty sure that it was as part the last programme of voluntary redundancies.

People’s priorities change as they get older.

Around 5 years ago, I think. I don’t specifically recall.

Great to see the BBC utilising World's Rob Watson on the simulcast this weekend. IMO, he's among one of the best Political Correspondents at the BBC. A shame we don't see much of him on Domestic.

Rob is actually the BBC World Service UK politics & UK affairs correspondent.

He gets loaned out to television!

Not according to his Twitter.

He was always on BBC World News before CV started.

I am not doubting that he appears on BBC World News TV, but to be fair the first sentence of his bio is “I am the BBC World Service Political Correspondent”.

As a long time BBC World Service listener I can tell you that is his main job. TV follows on from that.

And as a long time viewer of BBC World News I can tell you that Rob Watson will appear on screen before any other Political Correspondent, fact.

I never said he didn’t - I just clarified that he’s the BBC World Service political correspondent, that’s all.

I think you need to relax a bit.

I am totally relaxed fellow forumer, but with all due respect 'LXFLYER' - NO...you cannot tell anyone here what Rob Watson's main job is! You are a 'listener' as you clearly state. I am a 'viewer' as I clearly state.

Leave it where it is.

I’d have thought that his job title would have told you the answer to that question.

But clearly not! 😀

And I do watch BBC World News too so don’t be making assumptions about me please.

The back and forth between the two of you taking up practically an entire page and bickering is embarrassing. Let it drop.
