BBC News PRESENTATION Thread

Having noticed that the last comment on actual graphics on the main BBC News was A MONTH ago, I wish to ask.

Any interesting graphics things happened since they played out the full titles instead of the sting on the 15th of november?

I can't say I have noticed any changes, but I wish to throw my (not inconsiderable) weight behind a non-rota thread.

I'd stopped reading the other ones because they angry up my blood.

who cares about graphics, towers, the speed of the countdown, the colour of the background.

Most people here! It's a TV presentation forum, not a TV presenters forum.

They are both pretty dull subjects though. The whole presenter listing is extremly boring but going on about the smaller changes is equally tedious.

How times change.....I've been on this forum 'on and off' for about 4 years.. There used to be a time people were racing to post the xmas listings - LOL!

Indeed - I remember when Maxine Mawhinney first presented National bulletins over the christmas period a few years back...A thread was set up instantly and was well into its second page by the time she had finished reading the lunchtime update.

that annoys me. that's not an interesting development, it's just her doing something she does often.

I agree completely but looking at many of the people on here nowadays, splitting into different threads is probably best...

Back on presentation - and asking in hope more than expectation, but is there any chance News 24 will update their graphics packages soon to be more like the National bulletins - that big red strip gets more hideous everytime I see it!

I've seen some templates for a ticker/ DOG bar which is very reminiscent of Sky's. But dark red.
