Who is the new home editor? I know that Margaret Gilmore was on the Home Staff, but I am not sure who the Editor is.

What about the veteran Bill Hamilton, who used to occupy correspondent positions in Home Affairs, World Affairs and Sport? Where has he gone to? Is he still around?

For the first time in years, I caught a report during the recent Pope death from Peter Gould. Is he still a regular on BBC News back in the UK?

Peter Gould is now Religious Affairs Correspondent for the BBC news website. He has filed the odd report over the last few weeks as he has been there for the last month or so reporting on the Pope

Well Robert Piggotts Religious Affairs Editor via the magic box of light and sound.
I was surprised to only see Robert once during the Popes death and not at all during during white smoke election. Or is it me?

Robert Pigott (one g, two t's) is a Correspondent, not an Editor. And he was on loads during the election of the Pope, often in St Peter's Square interviewing people.

...to elaborate, slightly, I believe that Robert did not go out to Rome until after the Pope had died to cover the election. During the pope's illness and subsequent death, News 24 used him mainly as a studio expert. They probably decided that his specialist expertise would be best used in London immediately after the Pope's death.

Isn't Robert Pigott the only Religious Affairs correspondent? I can't say I have seen any others.

Pigott is the correspondent for TV and Jane Little is the Religious Affairs Correspondent for radio (mainly World Service)
