Yes, I liked those little swoops on today's Six too. You can do it better with one presenter... another reminiscence of the 1999 style.

As for the sets, which ones are you referring to Hyma? Just tell me the years, as I'm a bit confused (happens a lot).

the 2002-2003 wasn't it. The second one with all the red not the first one.

Yes, IIRC it was introduced in December 2001?

I think it would be nice if BBC National News programme adopted a similar scheme of sets like they did back in the 1980s early 1990s. Where the one o clock news was white with the long desk. The six O Clock news which was blue and different titles and music, and the nine o clock news which had the newsroom view. Also each had their own music and graphics. But what I am suggesting would be to give each programme its own looks utilizing the current sets and music, little tweaks could be made to the set for each programme such as maybe a different shade of red, or a different Newsroom image behind the presenter, even some tweaks to the graphics, just to make each programme seem its own but without undoing all the effort the BBC has put into this evolution of a brand.

They each have small tweaks to some graphics, IMMSMR, the one and six have white and red phone slides, the ten has a black slide.

And when the Ten relaunched last year the astons indicating the reporters name had a BBC News logo to fill up the space on the left, but it was soon dropped.

I agree, IMO this is definitely their best set I can remember (being born in 1989). The desk here was better than the '8' desk, the background was better, and I miss the sidebar!

A new plasma wall like... this perhaps??

IIRC This was the temp set they used a few hours before BBC N24's relaunch.

Yep, that was the World newsroom they were displaying in N6. Just look at that aston - how stale does that look compared to what we have now?!

Stale? It's clean, its not too big... only thing missing is the clock... but I think the 2003-2004 period was the best N24 had!!

Is it fake too? It certainly looks better than the current fake newsroom.

No, it's a real newsroom - it's the backdrop to BBC World News. They just recorded a loop of it for that period when they were in N6.

James - can't agree with you, I'm afraid. I love the current graphics! Much, much neater than before. From the past, the best graphics were from 1999, before they started fiddling in around 2002. The 2002-2003 ones were awful, in my opinion.
