Look East has a new opening shot for the two presenters, rather than face on its a side shot.

Directly side-on, or a three-quarter shot? They used a 3/4 shot on RS at the start.

Hrmmm, points west titles look nice, they've made one modification to the studio, with the live feed of the City Centre, being slightly blurred, and of course when there is no image for a story, the modified globe background.

Video currently uploading!

Here's the South East Today titles - a fast-paced mishmash of their relatively recent opening shots with all the colour sapped out of them!

Has there been a decision not to use any sort of caption or aston in the studio for RS, or has something broken down? There's not been one - even in obvious cases like over a website plug, or presenter namestraps - in this whole show.

Title sting used as an outro, with nothing on the picture to identify it as the end of show.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Why on earth has South Today done nothing to update the studio? And why why WHY are they still using the alt London close with tons of reverb as their news in brief bed, is sounds awful!

Not seen the opening of Newsline but the Watermark has been moved to the new BBC News DOG position. so it fades into a DOG with any astons used. The Studio has had a full refit in record time, nice speed montage at the end show how it was done.

Are the titles of the news in Welsh on S4C going to be changed? It's at 7:30 right?

Yes - you can watch online: http://www.s4c.co.uk/e_watch.shtml

Not that dissimilar to the Lunchtime version, but Gordon and Ranvir comment on the new look and thier Salford Quays backdrop, here it is anyway: North West Tonight:

The grey programme logo on the titles is hardly readable. Far too wishy-washy.

That video's really good!! v interesting. Looks like they could have got it done sooner if they didn't take 3 tries to get the new floor put down right.

Turns out Newyddion is blocked from the S4C online feed, but it seems like there's been no change. Missed the opening, but the old astons with the "N" logo in the old BBC globe are still being used.
