Well South Today is unchanged, still. Same studio as ever, the cream 1999 walls live on. And it seems no titles really either!

Very "techno" bed, as with the trailer, under the headlines on Reporting Scotland. Annoying actually.
Lots of bass on the actual titles mix, but that's the only major difference from the old version.
No change to the studio at all. Even the view on the screens is unchanged.
"LIVE" bug red in the corner.
Astons as-Nationals, except that it's "BBC REPORTING SCOTLAND " with a blue background in the DOG area rather than BBC NEWS and red.

Are the regions astons supposed to aniamate or anything on the screen or do thety just fade on and fade off ?
If they don't animate in any way I thought that money had been invested in this sort of technolgy in all the regions ?

And what a horlicks of an intro by Sally Taylor "a very welcome to South Today" and before that a glimpse of BBC London - Perhaps there should have been a title sequence but it all went a bit wrong?

Here in Wales pretty much like the nationals but with BBC WALES instead of BBC NEWS.

Look East has a new opening shot for the two presenters, rather than face on its a side shot. There appears to be no close up sting. I wonder if a 'West' version of the titles have been done for the late bulletin. Norwich used upper case for the presenters name, while Cambridge used sentence case - oops!
No change to the Cambridge studio, still looking out on King's College, or at least I think it's King's.
And did anyone else's region do a mid programme headline round up, Look East did a national and regional headline.
