Is it only Wales Today thats streamed live online at 6:30pm or do other regions stream live too?

Reporting Scotland certainly don't

Well they certainly used to! And unlike Wales Today, all THREE daily editions are available on demand in an actually viewable quality, which I can't say for its Welsh counterpart.

So the regional news got dumped onto BBC2 today because of the tennis. Wonder how much license fee money has been wasted in the regions which can't opt on analogue BBC2, such as Hull, Jersey and Cambridge so had to scrap their bulletins tonight?

South Today
Only the one - Hull. The others have pan regional bulletins on weekends.

On Look North, Amanda Harper welcomed viewers in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire to the programme and indeed the lead story was from the Hull region so they were obviously prepared

Considering how light Saturday bulletins often are, I can't imagine more than about £2.50 worth of licence fee being wasted

What did they broadcast on DSat in place of the regional news - or did everyone in England get BBC London?

I assume everyone was treated to Alice Bandacravi and BBC London on Dsat?

Here in the East on Freeview, we got London News on both BBC One and Two at the same time. Tennis on One was interrupted by LDN without warning.

Are you in the BBC East (West) region - which would get the Cambridge sub-opt during the 1830 weekday bulletin and at 2225?

(If so - I think I have a horrid feeling that I know why that was...)

I'm in the Cambridge sub-region.

I'd like to know what it is that you think you know. Please do tell. Smile

Everyone in England should have got London as BBC Two only has an England variation (which is essentially the network feed) and variations for Scotland, Wales and Northern-Ireland.

Regions cannot opt on BBC Two on Freeview either. As far as I know, in Scotland and Northern Ireland regional BBC Two on Freeview does exist. Does freeview BBC Two Wales exist? Does it carry what's on BBC 2 Wales analogue or BBC 2W?

I believe it's 2W, which is why Ferryside has retained an analogue BBC2 Wales

I don't understand the concept of 2W. What do they plan to do once full switchover is finished? Have both or merge them?
