Any thoughts of who will present during the strike? If they follow the same pattern as five years ago, whoever presents at midnight will also go on to present Breakfast.

Chris Rogers is a poss as a freelancer? Maybe the older ladies the BBC has hired recently?

It's as you were on the BBC News Channel so far. An unfamiliar news presenter on Radio 5 Live though.

EDIT: Oh a repeat? Very cunning. Wee bit dangerous though - should they not have a 'replay' DOG on screen if it is the case?

BBC News repeating the 23.00 bulletin currently.

I assume there will be no 12:45 and 17:45 Newsbeat on Radio 1, but they should be able to put bulletins on the :30s out with what staff they have that are freelance e.g. Dominic Byrne

Dominic will be at the Moyles OB so will probably be able to do the bulletins within that show, providing somebody is able to do the prep in London, but I would doubt he'd do anything beyond the Breakfast show.

To be honest, with the amount of glitches I see on the BBC News Channel on a regular basis I thought it was a normal occurrence. Rolling Eyes

I seem to remember last time that a lots of people preferred Just a Minute to Today... certainly I know I would

Has to be said I was fooled. Even went to the effort of posting "strange that Chris would stay on" sentence. And I guess one could argue a recorded or delayed bulletin such as World News America should state it's recorded, but it doesn't. As other bulletins - such as ABC's World News - do carry such a warning, I'm guessing there are rules about how long after initial broadcast it's being aired.

Sorry should have been clearer - this is the morning schedule in place of the Today programme.
