BBC News on BBC One & BBC One HD!!! With Chris Rodgers

Including a report by James Landale - probably the most high profile correspondent we've heard from during the strike - though I suppose it's not unusual for many of the political team not to be seen on Friday's and Saturday's.

I Think the've handalled the news coverage very well considering the amount off on strike . What does not make sense though and no one has mentioned it Naga was not doing the overnight so why could she not present breakfast with Charlie. I think however the star of all this has been Gavin Grey he's brillant I know he's not rellay a journlist anymore but if the was anyway convincing him back in to newsreading he would make an excellent signing.

As for Emma Crosby she did well on the 1 and I don't think we'll see her as a regular anytime soon on the main programmes there is an opening on the weekend news. Chris Rogers smooth as always, Peter good the only one who I think could have been better was Anne this morning I just found her hard to conenct to .

Am watching Cup football, was the Landale report current? Could it not have been 'in the can' as the Police interviewing Coulson was an inevitabilty and the report could have been prepared in advance.

Landale was live at Downing Street.

As to Naga, I get the feeling she was just doing the shifts she would normally have done, no extras.

So could it be Emma and Chris on the 7 - midnight shift, like they did last weekend?

Apart from yesterday afternoon did Emma actually appear at any other time? I get the feeling she may have been down to do an afternoon shift yesterday anyway.

According to Kevin Bakhurst's twitter page, the BBC News Channel audience share yesterday was 1.01%, with Sky on 0.55%

I take it today's schedule has been the following so far then:
0000-0600: Alastair Yates
0600-1000: Charlie Stayt and Anne Davies
1000-1400: Peter Dobbie (including BBC1 junction at midday)
1400-1700: Gavin Grey
1700 onwards: Chris Rogers (including BBC1 junction at 17:20)

Any thoughts from now until midnight? My reckoning is Chris will stay on til about 8 or 9, then Emma will take over and carry on through til midnight

Why does the continuity announcer keep saying 'BBC One and BBC One HD'?

Er,maybe because BBC One HD is now broadcasting and has been for a few days??
