I can only imagine someone in the NC gallery alerted the network announcer of the flash photography of the first report as they're unaware of usual protocol. Did Chris give a warning before the report itself?

I think it's fair to say the BBC hasn't lacked talent today, given the bad situation. Nice to see Chris on the six, I suppose, but I'd rather he and Emma had swapped shifts.

EDIT: I too would preferred, Simon to have presented 9 until the One (including The One), Emma to have presented the Six perhaps the afternoon and then the Six & Chris should have presented the evening & Ten
