That isn't Nigel Farage - it's Lord Pearson, the now-former leader of the party.

There were picture problems for the first couple of minutes, they were fixed shortly afterwards. He did a good job in my opinion.

Indeed, similar thing happened a few weeks back.

And no, he wasn't bad at all - certainly no worse than Sally Taylor.

I do wonder who will present the main bulletins tonight - if I remember correctly Nick Witchell was working through the last strike yet Stephen Cole still presented.

It'll be interesting to see if the six and ten are presented by a single presenter, or if they'll be presented by whoever is available. Presumably Naga will be on again from 01:00 tonight, so I'm guessing they'll need two separate presenters on the NC simulcasts after Emma's gone.

Yeah exactly. As I say, one presumes they would have someone quite experienced on tonight

I reckon Chris Rogers might pop up yet - suppose he could present at six or ten?

Andrew Steele reporting on the BBC strikes - he's got a blog on "The Editors" part of the BBC Blog site but I'm not sure what specifically he does.

So the schedule today then so far has been...

0100-0600: Overnight with Naga Munchetty
0600-0830: Breakfast with Gavin Grey
0830-1100: BBC News with Simon McCoy
1100-1300: BBC News with Peter Dobbie
1300-1330: BBC News at One with Emma Crosby
1330-present: BBC News with Emma Crosby

No business news, weather presented as normal AFAIK, sports news presented by Mike Bushell (Breakfast) and Adnan Nawaz (rest of the day)

Possibilities for the rest of the day I think could include the likes of Robert Peston, Chris Rogers, Nicholas Witchell. Perhaps Naga could come back?
