I'd like to know how many people *actually* watch it. Seems like a waste of our money to me.

Well, for a start, the graphics are complete b*llocks:

And the CSO was taken too far down, so the presenter looks about three feet tall

EDIT: I actually see what's wrong. The CSO isn't too far down, it's just the camera is too high (as it's probably fixed) and as a result the presenter looks small. Also it's too far out, as this pic of Kate shows

The people who do it are journalists from News 24. It comes from the same studio as BBC Three News comes from. And yes the camera is fixed. And don't quote me on it exactly but I think it's between 5 and 8 million a week who use the multi-screen.

Is there any presenter rota on here?
So far this year there's been Joanna Shinn, James Blatch, Vanessa Edwards, Mark Percy, and a few others.
Also a few other questions; how would you improve the service and where does it come from?

Nicky will correct me on this but i think the News Interactive studio is not too far from the News 24 Set. Also dont forget the news Interactive bulletin is available on the internet so i would think gets a large audience there.

It's produced right next to the News 24 set but comes from a studio that is nearer to the Nationals one.

Sorry, I forget, how many studios are there used by the News again?

The news multiscreen is very helpful. It's much easier watching the main headlines in 3 minutes than pssibly waiting up to 15 on the main News 24 for the headlines.

Even so, it is extremely useful. However, if you really want bitesize news, try 60 Seconds on BBC Three or 15 Seconds on Broken news on BBC Two(!)

Currently :
BBC One One/Six/Ten/Hardtalk comes from one studio
Newsnight/Working Lunch/Newsround/Sunday AM/The Politics Show come from a larger studio
News 24 comes from a newsroom set and gallery (not a real studio)
BBC World comes from a newsroom set and gallery (again not a real studio)
There is a single camera CSO studio used by 60 Seconds and BBCi.
So that is two full studios, two newsroom sets (not really studios) and a small CSO studio at TV Centre.
There were an additional two studios, one used by BBC Interactive and BBC World for shows like Talking Point and other interactive webcasty stuff, and one used for Liquid News, Celebdaq, and BBC Three's News Show and Seven O'Clock News, as well as 60 Seconds. Neither are currently in use. One has been dismantled substantially, the other is still intact.
Additionally there is a BBC studio operation in Westminster. This has a CSO/Newsroom camera, a second CSO studio, a small "proper" studio and a newsroom set, with a single gallery.
