I think the opening shot needs working on that follows the titles though. Maybe more of a higher camera shot that drops down towards the desk to show off the set?
I agree and with the new opening they're not making the most of the video wall; they just have a plain shot of the backdrop.
Perhaps they could animate in and have a shot coming from the left, presenters to the left of the screen at the desk with a wide shot of the whole studio and graphics animating on it?

There is no relief/Friday presenter - but it's mainly Emily Maitlis or Louise Minchin. The beeb decided it was easier and cheaper not to employ anyone personally, but just get anyone in who's available.
So far we've had Emily Maitlis, Louise Minchin, Jon Sopel, Natasha Kaplinsky, Jane Hill, Kate Silverton, Sian Williams and Bill Turnball. Even Sophie's filled in on a friday before!
