i dont think it needs a desk at all, the sofa is far more sufficient and welcome for the morning

There isn't a "bigger desk" in N6 to use. If you mean the Newsnight desk, that's in TC7 so couldn't be used for Breakfast.

Surely desks used in one studio could be used in another, as long as they aren't in use by another programme already.

thats what i thought,the desk should be able to be moved ist not getting used for anything else at that time.

TC7 and N6 are not very far away from each other are they :

Far enough to make it a right pain to move a desk everyday.

it's not just moving it - it would be hooking up all the cables for the sound and the computers and printers and the lights that are inside it.

Also, we already complain of marks on the floor, imagine the scuff marks and dints that would end up on both desks getting moved between studios twice a day.

how is this TC7 swap there desk around all the time the big one for the small one and there floor is not dinted or scrached

is the small TC7 desk the same model that N6 has

Perhaps because the floor is black rather than grey we can't see the scratches.

I agree about the N6 floor looking scruffy, they should get a black floor like N7, where you can't see the marks.

The problem with the floor is not just the colour but also the material, TC 7 is paint, but i believe they can't paint the floor in N6 because of poor drainage, so it is a vinyl covering instead.
