I hate for this to sound rude or petty etc but.... I can predict what they are gonna say in tomorrows news especially on News 24....

Madeline McCann search still goes on, no more clues of her whereabouts, more sports stars offering to help, people are still worried, breakthough news that police are doing a search on a flat, oh and her parents go to a church service, where her mum cries, and the parents come out of church holding hands

How right am I?

You may be right. This story is devasitating and it's like Alan Johnston's case except this is a child and we know it is a SAD possibility this child may be being abused hence the wide media coverage and upset. What else can we say tomorrow about the story? This should stay in the media spotlight for as long as possible.

I find that extremely insensitive- given events on the ground.

Nobody is right in situations such as these - hopefully, there will be a peaceful and lawful end to this tragedy but considering this might not happen do you not think those words sound inappropiate?

How's that insensitive - it's pretty much what's happened the last few days!

This situation has just turned into a media jolly at the moment - and now they're just throwing money at it with the multi-million pound reward and the Madeline Fund - the initial tragedy may leave a bad taste in your mouth, but the media reaction is just sickening!

Back to the coverage and having seen a bit tonight, can I just say how bad and uncomfortable Huw Edwards seems to be on location. He just doesn't suit it!

Firstly..apologies to the anti Kaplinsky fans who will hate the fact she is doing the 10, but she is!

Well deserved, she is a formidable asset to the BBC news, she IS attractive, but she also has a brain. So...forget the looks, the appeal...she is here to stay!

Newsnight next...............Wink

Am I the only one who always finds Huw Edwards uncomfortable and creaky, whether he's on location or not!

Well I'll bite at this .

Apologies accepted , she shouldn't be there or on the Six . She was attractive , but her brain, has that ever been used, she seems permanently bemused .
There is no appeal for me, if she chooses not to stay ( have the BBC any say ) well then I will quickly forget her but until then, I suffer. Crying or Very sad

Im finding it a bit frustrating at the number of BBC Journo's is in Portugal.

Jane Hill is there, as is Huw Edwards, also some other reporters including someone for newsround! Is there any need to have so many there?

Surely Jane Hill plus one other is enough?

Well they are all there to cover the story for different departments of BBC News. News 24 alone requires a Presenter and at least 1 if not 2 reporters. I don't think you quite understand the scale of this story and how many resources you need to give it the coverage it deserves. You have to remember that journalists are not robots and do need sleep and rest time like all of us. BBC News is a continuous operation and needs people on hand all the time to cover news as it happens hence why there are several journalists & crews out there. They are not all working at the same time.

The scale of the story is determined pretty much entirely by the news organization. There is bugger all to report and it doesn't 'deserve' the airtime.

Exactly - usually the opposite excuses are poored out when major breaking stories are fronted by unknown News 24 faces on BBC1!

How bizarrely fortunate and well timed today's news of the breakthrough in breast cancer treatment is for the BBC who have been running a Cancer Awareness week across the news.

Are we supposed to believe today's announcement happened today and is happy coincidence?

Or did the BBC plan what would be today's main news story last week??
