Maybe the 6 and 10 will be in N6 and Newsnight somewere else....
It depends what they are doing for the election, if all they are doing are rehersals, then i don't see why Newsnight can't come from the normal studio, with it just using the desk. However if the whole of the studio space has been set up for thursday, then Newsnight might come from N6. Could they not do what they do for children in Need, and instead of handing back to N6 from the regions, just end the bulletin and then go straight to the weather, so Newsnight can then use N6 straight afterwards.
Clearly the tight shots were due to both Newsround and BBC News being set up at the same time, would only need to take out the Newsround set for the weather if it comes from the studio later.
I would say the 10 has too many standy-up reports to not use the whole studio.
Newsnight could always debunk to the studio they used when TC7 flooded, the BBC Three News set (forgive me I forget its name), I'm sure it could be turned into a mock of the left corner of TC7 and then back to TC7 in time for Review on Friday.
Maybe they could finish the ten from the old bailey, with whoever is in the studio handing to the person at the old baliey at 10.20. Then at 10.25 the person at the Old Bailey could go through the headlines and say the final part of the bulletin and hand over to regions. From 10.20 N6 could be setup for newsnight.
Last week, on Newsnight, there was a report on the upcoming elections, with a report by Michael Crick that was filmed in the Election Studio as staff were rehearsing and getting things together.
If you go to the Newsnight website and download the the weeks podcast dated April 27th, the report is included.
If it were TC7, the lighting boxes had gone, and it looks as it will be a "virtual" type.
I think that may be a corner of a studio as it seemed very tight, and the report was shown while Newsnight, Newsround and Working Lunch were still making use of the studio. I think what they have shown is the analysis section, which will be green screened.
Just wondering if anyone caught the daytime updates today, there's been no mention of were they came from?
I assume it was CSO for practical reasons, particularly before the 1, but what backdrop would they have used? It would look silly with the skyline backdrop as Sophie was in N24 studio just 45 mins later, not very good continuity. Anyone able to help out, otherwise I doubt i'll be able to sleep tonight..

The One stays in N24 all week.
The BBC Three News studio (empty after BBC Three News was cancelled) was also the home to Working Lunch, Newsnight and Newsround on their old sets, whilst the current projector cube system was installed in their normal studio.
However this studio is now no longer an option, as News no longer lease it, and BBC Resources has taken it back into their fold. The cost of building a completely new set for this space for just a few days would not be justifiable.

It looks like Jeremy Vine will be in a separate studio at TVC, driven from its own gallery, so that the Network programme, Scotland and Wales can all include dedicated analysis appropriate to the different elections they will each focus on.
Unless TC7 is just being used for rehearsals, it looks like that will be used for the main network programme with Dimbleby and Co. unlike previous years when the studio at Millbank has been used. TC7 presumably will not need much modification as much of the change in appearance for different programmes from that studio is just changing what appears on the Barco screens. I wonder if they had a rethink on doing local election nights from Millbank in future because of the power failure at Millbank during election night last year, where News 24 had to take over until they could get an election programme of sorts on the air from a pub with Emily Maitlis).
