It's the same reason as Sunday AM and Politics Show were OBs this week ... preparation for the Election Show this week.

Yup, Sophie staying on on N24 with Matthew. Makes perfect sense actually, shame about the cock up.

Was Sophie on N24 before 1? We do have a rather large breaking news story today, 24 is being simulcast online.

Nope, it was Maxine with Matthew.

Worked rather well at 13.30..

I approve of this move, Maybe running the 'One' from News24 should be made permanent, Certainly was flowing much better (for N24 viewers).

Except for the now "we join the news teams where you are" bit. I think they should normally do it so that they say "And still to come on News 24" bit, then cut off for News 24 back to the studio, and then do the "Now we join the teams where you are..." bit. Any other suggestions?

Simple changes

Intro Annoucement....
"We now welcome to BBC News24, BBC ONE viewers for The One O'Clock News."

Exit Annoucement .....
"On BBC ONE you'll now join the news teams where you are, for more on the main stories stay with us here on BBC News24" - Slight pause and sting - would suffice.

So will all 1/6/10 bulletins be from N8 this week?

Don't see why the six can't come from N6 as Newsround finishes at 5.35, giving them 25 minutes to prep the studio.

Does it really matter where the news comes from, as long as we viewers get the news?

Can't wait to see the graphics of the election. And does anybody know why they need to prep the studio for it? Maybe they do a lot of effort this time.

Just watching the One now and they had a few mistakes involved.. Such as the Coming Up was messed up.. BBC London said the headlines at the start and 20minutes in but after ther headlines and we heard another region's ending headlines and the sting was a high shot of Barney and Sophie not moving at all...

Suppose it's very different to run a program from a different studio for a crew who are normally controlling N6 etc.
