The regions have a totally different style, and indeed differ from region to region, so wouldn't have anything to do with todays changes

Which was, in that case, no bad thing as the 99-00 Spotlight titles were brilliant.

However, the current regional titles are starting to look incredibly tired and dated. Perhaps if they were updated to look more like the look on the nationals, they could show those glowing trails over the region (or a symbol that would represent the region) which would then zoom out to a flying map and the programme name?

Don't even get me started on the regional titles - they need to decide whether they're going for the corporate look or a region by region thing as currently they are pretty awful.

I can't be absolutely sure, but that sounds like the closing music BBC World have used today for World News Today and The World Today.

Regional titles should be like Wales Today - they have the News24/World type start with the globe view from the side.
